Imagine that walking on a sidewalk you find a public bicycle. Nearing a card to the rack, you unlock the bike and now you can pedal across town. Once at your destination, you ride to the closest rack and return the bike to the public network. Now you can take another bike and the returned bike is once again available for the taking.
The system is an automatic rack based on RF-ID technology.
A card is given to the users that, simply by nearing the card to the reader on the rack can pick up and ride. At destination, in the same way the users can leave the bike.
A central system monitors the status of the users (avoiding to pick up more bike at a time) and the racks allowing to understand how to move the bicycles in order to have an homogenous distribution over the whole area.
Flexibility |
The architecture of the system permits to realize an installation that fits the real customer needs. The basic rack module manages 8 bikes but a specific 4 bike module is available. |
Easy to install |
The power line is the only strictly requirement. If the LAN connection allows to cover the majority of contexts, a GSM version permits to install a system where the LAN is not present. |
Suitable for temporary services |
The modular architecture, the fast installation, the wireless option make the B-rent the ideal bike sharing system for events as fairs, festivals, holidays. |
Self-regulating system |
B-Rent system permits to monitor, analyse and regulate the service. In fact, the ultimate position of the bikes tells you how people are using them and where they’re most needed. The only way a bike-share is effective is if bikes are available when and where people need them. |
